Video of the Day: Ode to Earth

I found this video accidentally and I really love it. The video shows scenes of people and places around the world. The song is titled “Baba Yetu.” This is for you, our Mother Earth.

“Every moment and every event of every man’s life on earth plants something in his soul.”
Thomas Merton

MUSIC AND VIDEO ABOUT AUTUMN
I made this video using my own photos in dedication to Autumn Season. It’s only the first part, and I’m working on the 2nd.  I hope you enjoy the music while reading the Poem below. HAPPY AUTUMN, HAPPY FALL!!!

“Autumn is a second spring when every leaf is a flower.”
Albert Camus

THE AUTUMN
Elizabeth Barrett Browning (1833)

Go, sit upon the lofty hill,
And turn your eyes around,
Where waving woods and waters wild
Do hymn an autumn sound.
The summer sun is faint on them —
The summer flowers depart —
Sit still — as all transform’d to stone,
Except your musing heart.

Coffee Watch: Insights in Modern Education

{Disregard that this video was sponsored by Ericsson.}

I was thinking at first that this video is just another video about influencing the world to use the internet through mobile, Ericsson. But I got hooked, without noticing it. I had a chat before with Mr. hubby regarding the modern educational system. I told him that I think teachers should change their teaching strategies. Be tech-informed, especially. Because children of this generation don’t function well with the old school system of “books and notebooks” like we were taugh in the 90’s.

QUOTES FROM THIS VIDEO:

“It’s the teacher’s job to point young minds towards the right kind of question. A teacher doesn’t need to give answers, because answers are everywhere. And we know now from years of measurements that learners who find the answers for themselves retain it better than if they’re told the answer.”

Video of the Day: Green Lake, Austria

I found something unique tonight, a video of a small valley in Styria,  Austria that is being filled with ice-melted water from the mountain between May – July. It is called Green Lake, because of the water’s emerald color.

I first discovered about this place through this video: http://www.vimeo.com/12692803

Do you have an inspiring video of the day? 🙂

Sunday Quote: Ice Cream

The Sunday activity is back again! And because the scorching heat is inescapable, I decided to restart with a “heat melting topic.” Who wouldn’t like ice cream in summer? 😀

Join me every Sunday, for a different Quote Topic. You can share an inspiring quote ( or quotes ) through Poetry, Videos, Music, Pictures, and Stories. Just don’t forget to share your link to me! You can post-comment it below. If you want to join next Sunday, the theme is – GOALS.)

B is for “Beach Scenery”

It’s been awhile (again) since I last wrote something on WP. I am glad to be back, I swear. So today I decided to join an alphabet challenge by Frizztext. I found it on AngelineM’s blog. Today’s Tuesday challenge is about the letter “B”. And I chose BEACH.

“The Beach was a Scorching Furnace, under the sun, slowly cooking the people on it, as they tried (and failed) to get a tan.”

(I would love to share beach view photos that I’ve taken from Nea Kallikrateia, Halkidiki last June 28. Under the scorching heat, it’s not only people that came to the beach, but also cute creatures! )

Our sunbed neighbor from Komotini, brought along their Rottweiler pup and while they were gone, I played with him.
