MUSIC AND VIDEO ABOUT AUTUMN
I made this video using my own photos in dedication to Autumn Season. It’s only the first part, and I’m working on the 2nd.  I hope you enjoy the music while reading the Poem below. HAPPY AUTUMN, HAPPY FALL!!!

“Autumn is a second spring when every leaf is a flower.”
Albert Camus

THE AUTUMN
Elizabeth Barrett Browning (1833)

Go, sit upon the lofty hill,
And turn your eyes around,
Where waving woods and waters wild
Do hymn an autumn sound.
The summer sun is faint on them —
The summer flowers depart —
Sit still — as all transform’d to stone,
Except your musing heart.

A Word a Week Challenge: Mistake

From {A Word in Your Ear} – “This week the dictionary has fallen open at the word MISTAKE.  We all have photos that seem ok when we take them but when downloaded, we spot something wrong with it.   So this week we are going to have some fun and the challenge is to show a photo that something is wrong with.”

After finding this post from my Reader, I didn’t think twice to join. I know I got some of those photography mistakes, and all I need is to find them! In 15 minutes, I found 4 that I remembered. Who can spot the mistake in 1 second?  😀

SPECIES IDENTITY CRISIS: I have included this photo before in my previous post

Sunday Quote: Windows / Window Panes

It’s a Sunday and it’s a prompt Quote Day!

Sonel joined today! ~Welcome back~

These two kittens were strays staying at the backyard in 2010. Aren’t they adorable?

So why “windows or window panes” is the topic? Well it started with looking at “windows” theme from a co-blogger {link here}. Join the fun of sharing, too! 😀

The photo I used here was taken from the lake of Aghios Vasilios a.k.a. Lake Koreneia.  This was taken at an abandoned park where willows gave shade to these purple wild flowers but left a deep sadness image to the abandoned and near-death lake in Northern Greece.

Alphabet Photo Challenge: “L” is for Lake Kerkini

Visit Frizztext for this WP challenge!

{All photos were taken on November 25, 2012}

My Lake Kerkini Postcard. I tried to create an Autumn mood here, if you think this is good, let me know. If not, help me criticize by commenting below. Thank you!

Last Winter, I went on trip with one of the Filipino organizations in Northern Greece. One of our destinations was Lake Kerkini. It is located in the prefecture of Serres, Macedonia region.  From the town of Serres, it is  35-40 km away; 100 km from Thessaloniki city, and 50 km from the border of Bulgaria. It is surrounded by the mountains of Belles & Mavrovouni. The river where the lake is situated, is called “Strymonas / Struma River.” The lake has a pear-shape and is one of the most important wetlands in Europe. As the season changes every year, the migrating birds come and go, too. There are 300 species of birds found on the lake. More info here.

Weekly Photo Challenge: Inside

New challenge from the Daily Post is Here.

I captured some of the things which were inside of something; one was taken inside a bus, another from a wood park, and then also one being saved from endangerment.  They weren’t edited because I am in a hurry to make this post, due to lack of internet at our new place, we have to use net from cafes and etc places around.  I can say, today we’ve been running around – from library whose staffs are on strike, to a small cafe bar near where we live. Well, how is everyone? I hope to be able to join more challenges this week…

It’s a pity to see beautiful creatures trapped in cages; sometimes you want to cry.

This is a photo of a beautiful bird inside Platanakia Park in Panorama town. Anyone knows what is it? It’s a pity to see this beauty being caged…

This is a beautiful bird that was saved from injury. During my volunteer days in Action for Wildlife organization.

This was taken inside a bus I took to go back to Filyro. Someone vandalized and it says, ” Shit to the Government.” I am sorry to say, but I agree.

Hope to see you, Ta leme!

Weekly Photo Challenge: An Unusual POV

Here’s another challenge that I have been looking forward to before our internet was gone. To check it out, click {here}.

This is my photo of the Ancient Acropolis in Athens, the Parthenon, the Greek flag, and the opposite mountain. I was venturing on my own,  along with many unfamiliar tourists for 1 hour and  I didn’t even realize it until my alarm clock said so. It was a beautiful experience, exhilarating, fantastic, one-of-a-kind. I was finally in one of the ancient places you cannot miss to visit in your lifetime! It was a dream come true. It was a marvelous sanctuary.  And as I followed the marble pathway; these are the same path the ancient people went through. For the sake of worshiping their Gods and Goddesses. Thinking about it, I thought how far human civilization had moved on. Two thousand years have passed and even though those Gods weren’t worshiped as they were worshiped before, they still exist. This mountain, the remains of the Parthenon, the ancient upper city – are still standing. And humanity moved on so far as finding what’s outside the universe and to remember these old Gods, there are several planets named after them.
